Distance 6.1 km
The start of the route is at the "Heimatstuben" - the "Teufel and Semmelmilda" gazebo in the centre of Schellerhau, then follow the signs of the children's hiking trail towards the spa park. The first part of the children's hiking trail, called the Hell Trail, starts there. Cross the Matthäusweg and continue along the Mühlenweg. At the next junction, keep left towards the Weißeritzbrücke bridge. Turn right and follow the Weißeritz River to the "Gute-Laune-Brücke" bridge. Cross this and then continue straight ahead to the main road (Oberer Gasthof). Then turn right and immediately left again to the Botanical Garden. This is where the second part of the trail begins - the Sky Trail. Follow the signs to Julius-Schmidt-Steig, to the top of Stephanshöhe (Steinmeer), cross the Rotterhang (ski slope) and follow the narrow path to Neu-Schellerhau. Then continue right to the main road. Follow it back to the Heimatstube. The children's hiking trail is marked with a Teufelino sign.
