The Tiefenbach waterfall is an artificially created waterfall that is located between Geising and Altenberg.
The waterfall is located above Geising on the road to Altenberg at about 660 meters above sea level and was created artificially in 1954. It falls in two steps with a total height of about 40 meters, which are separated by a short, flatter piece. This makes it one of the highest waterfalls in Saxony. The upper part falls about 15 to 20 meters and can be seen from an observation platform, which is accessible from the road, taking a short hiking trail. The lower part of the waterfall, also about 15 to 20 meters high, falls into a tube under the platform and can only be seen in his top area.
