Quiet and pleasant place, between Zinnwald and Kohlhaukuppe. Shelter for tourists.  A summit of the very popular hike "14 eight-thousanders in the Eastern Ore Mountains" - the Himalayas in the Eastern Ore Mountains!

Altitude: 813 m

"The fox felt bad at Fuchshübel." It's a pun based on Fuchs = fox, übel = bad - that's what the people of Geising sometimes call themselves. All "Eight-thousanders" were created by numerous earthquakes many years ago. So maybe that proverb came from that.

On the Fuchshübel you will find a stamp point that identifies the summit as one of the destinations of the "14 eight-thousanders" tour. You can get all the information about this popular tour at the Altenberg Tourist Information Office.
