1/2 of the Silas Lane Loop

This is one of the three Oneonta Susquehanna Greenway Trails. There are two trail heads on this 2-mile loop which is an easy, flat walk for all ages. 

Dover Oak to Cat Rocks

The hike up from the "Dover Oak" on W. Dover Road, Pawling NY to Cat Rocks viewpoint and back is a 1.8 mile moderate round trip hike. 

Wilber Park Trails

These trails are designed to be multi-use and are open for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing year-round.

Pawling Nature Reserve Quaker Lake Loop via Appalachian Trail

The Pawling Nature Reserve is owned by the Nature Conservancy and maintained by local volunteers from Pawling and Dover that help with the management of the reserve

Mill Race Trail Hiked on June 9, 2020 at 1:47 PM

This short trail or path connects the two parking lots within Neahwa Park. It follows a stream that has branched off of the Susquehanna River. This trail also provides a different perspective for catching a glimpse of a baseball game played on Damaschke Field.

Sleeping Lion Trail

Sleeping Lion Trail is a 2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Cooperstown, New York that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October.

The Harlem Valley Rail Trail, two sections totaling 15 paved miles through stunning rural Dutchess and Columbia County landscapes.

Upper Works Trailhead to Mount Marcy Peak - Hike

Mount Marcy from Upper Works Trail is a 18.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Newcomb, New York that features a lake and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for hiking, camping, snowshoeing, and backpacking.

Sam's Point and Verkeerderkill Falls Hike

Sam's Point and Verkeerderkill Falls Trail is a 8.3 mile loop trail located near Cragsmoor, New York that features a lake and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October.

Bear Mountain

Hike to the top of Bear Mountain and back down via the Red and Blue Blaze and the Appalachian Trail.

Tour planned at May 23, 2019

The hike will start off at Laurel House Trail then proceed to pass the Kaaterskills falls and Bastion Falls. Since the terrinan was pretty rough going from Bastion Falls to Laymans Monument, I figured staying on the trails was the best way to go.

Inwood Hill Park

Enjoy this 2-mile loop through Inwood Hill Park, passing glacial leftovers, a beautiful viewpoint, and historical sites.

New York City: Ward's Island

Walk along the East River waterfront for views of Mill Rock Park and the New York City skyline on this 6-miler on Ward's Island.

Avalanche pass & Mount Colden

Colden has two main approaches, both of which get used rather heavily, but one more than the other. Both trails could be combined to make for an excellent, but very long loop

Algonquin Peak - Adirondack

Algonquin is the tallest peak along the MacIntyre Mountain Range and the second highest in New York State. A bald summit with spectacular views is ones reward for the effort
